Custom Maps The Map Shop can provide custom maps of all types. They are produced on computer thus offering excellent flexibility for updating at minimum expense. Here is a short list and descriptions of several types of custom
maps that we produce regularly: Click on any photo or heading to see more. These maps show major roads, major landmarks, interstates plus specific information that the customer requires. The typical main artery map will be black & white or color and 8 1/2x11 inches in size. These maps are particularly useful to REAL ESTATE professionals, CONVENTION planners, and SALES people where plotting locations is important but not every road is needed. Scores of cities and towns around the Carolinas already exist in our
inventory of these maps. However, if we don't have it, we'll draw it. Pictured on this page are a multi-county map showing specific points of interest for a visitors' guide, a rental car agency handout piece, and a pedestrian information kiosk showing the locations of downtown retail shops, restaurants, hotels, churches and service businesses. What is your particular need? Special use maps are generally more complex and require the most
research. A locator map will contain only what it needs to get the information
across. The simpler the better is the rule here. Most locator maps will show a single
location of a business, etc., the street it is on, plus a major road or two to show
proximity. Most locator maps will be smaller than 8 1/2x11 inches and many times small
enough to be on a business card. The steps to our doing a CUSTOM MAP for you are simple: Each custom map is priced on an individual basis. A deposit is required before a custom map is scheduled for production. A proof is always furnished before the final map is completed. The Map Shop can meet your finishing needs if the map needs printing, padding or mounting. Call us and we'll send or fax you a sample or two of some custom maps we've produced. |
